Create Wearable Art for Your Head

An Afrocentric themed  headdress is perfect for the BlackJoy Parade, celebrating Kwanzaa, honoring an African goddesses (Oshun, Oya and Yemaya) - or going to a Wakanda Forever event.

Making things by hand is self-discovery, challenge, joy, and accomplishment.

What you'll do

We start with a brief slide show of various styles of headdresses to get your creative juices flowing. Then we share design tips and review glue gun safety.

Next you explore our amazing collection of cowrie shells, feathers, beads, organic fibers and other gorgeousness. 

Once you select your favorite items we give you a mannequin head wearing a satin headband.

Next you will layout your materials and start creating something stunning, letting your instincts guide you. Our instructor meets with you one on one to offer advice and answer questions. 

Skills required

Complete beginners welcome. The only skill needed is the ability to use a glue gun.

Class Details 

The Class is 90 minutes.

Hot tea will be served and relaxing music played.

Class takes place  inside the showroom of Mannequin Madness. (There will be mannequins in the background)
